This kit consists of the Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal and the Hikvision DS-KAB671-B Floor Stand. Together these products provide a portable temperature-screening and access control solution; they are ideal for use in lobbies and building entrances. Please see the video below for a brief overview of these products and their applications.

The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal & Stand can be utilised in schools, campuses, businesses, factories and stations. In addition to monitoring access, this solution can identify individuals with elevated skin-surface temperature which is often indicative of fever, a common symptom of many viruses. This thermal terminal and stand kit CANNOT be used to diagnose illnesses; however, it is suitable for helping to prevent the potential spread of infection in public and professional places.

Hikvision Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal

The Hikvision Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal is an access control instrument with additional skin-temperature screening capabilities. It is comprised of a 7” LCD, 2MP wide-angle lens, built-in card reader, onboard memory and Vanadium Oxide uncooled sensor for measuring skin-surface temperature.

The terminal is a compact, comprehensive security and temperature-screening solution.

Temperature-Screening

The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal is optimised for efficient temperature screening: it will automatically measure skin-surface temperature upon detection of a human face. Furthermore, it does not require identity authentication to begin temperature-screening, again improving measurement efficiency.

The unit is able to measure temperatures between 30°C and 45°C to an accuracy of ±0.5°C.* Temperature measurements are displayed on the authentication page.

The terminal’s door status can be configured to open or close depending on the detected skin-surface temperature. Furthermore, when an abnormal skin-surface temperature is detected, a voice prompt/alert is issued. Additionally, out-of-range temperatures are uploaded to the security centre; this allows security/ temperature-screening personnel to remain at a safe distance from those being screened.

Temperature information is saved to the user’s chosen software. The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal transfers online and offline temperature measurements to the user’s software via TCP/IP communication.

Security

The terminal can be set to one of three authentication modes:

  • Card and temperature
  • Face recognition and temperature
  • Card, face recognition and temperature

The unit can store up to 50 000 recognised faces, 50 000 recognised cards and 100 000 security/temperature events. This data along with the aforementioned temperature data can be downloaded to the user’s software. It is also possible to upload information to the terminal from the user’s software.

Depending on the authentication result, the terminal will issue a particular voice prompt.

Face Recognition

When used for face recognition, it is recommended that the terminal is placed at a height of 1.4m to 1.9m. Individuals being screened should stand between 0.5 and 1.5m away.

The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal can determine facial recognition within 0.2s per person and is 99% accurate.**

Face Mask Alerts

In addition to recognising faces, the unit can be programmed to issue a particular alert when a person being screened is not wearing a face mask.

The terminal features the following face mask alerts:

  • Face Mask Wearing: if a recognised face (for instance a member of staff) is not wearing a mask, a voice prompt/ alert is issued and authentication is validated/ access to the building or room is granted.
  • Forced Mask Wearing: if a recognised face (for instance a member of staff) is not wearing a mask, a voice prompt/ alert is issued and authentication/ access to the building or room is denied.

Additional Functions

The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal can also be configured to monitor attendance statuses such as check-in, check-out, break-in, break-out, overtime-in and overtime-out.

NTP supported, manual time synchronisation and automatic time synchronisation.

Practical Design

The Hikvision DS-K1T671TM-3XF Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal features a watchdog design with a tamper function. To prevent the door from opening in the event that the terminal is destroyed, the Hikvision Face Recognition & Temperature-Screening Terminal is connected to a secure door control via an RS-485 protocol.

Furthermore, the terminal can be connected to an access controller or a Weigand card reader via Wiegand protocol.
